YOU`LL NEED
- a trench coat
- a seam ripper
- a sewing machine
Start by pulling one of the sleeves away from the attached shoulder to reveal the stitching. Gently rip the seam using the seam ripper. After the sleeve is removed, do the same with the lining. Remove the other sleeve using the same steps.
Use the original inseam as a guide and fold the jacket and the lining inwards. Pin it. Sew a straight stitch all the way around with a 1/4″ inseam. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can always take it to your tailor or try hemming it by hand.
Using very low heat, gently iron the hem flat. And you’re done!
